Noah Davis grew up in Tipton, Pennsylvania, and writes about the Allegheny Front. Davis’s manuscript Of This River was selected by George Ella Lyon for the 2019 Wheelbarrow Emerging Poet Book Contest from Michigan State University’s Center for Poetry, and his poems and prose have appeared in Best New Poets, Orion, North American Review, Sou’wester, and Chautauqua, among others. His work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize by Poet Lore and Natural Bridge, and he has been awarded a Katharine Bakeless Nason Fellowship at the Bread Loaf Writer’s Conference and the 2018 Jean Ritchie Appalachian Literature Fellowship from Lincoln Memorial University. Davis is a third-year MFA candidate at Indiana University.
Nicholas Dighiera is a meat machine that is animated by electrical signals that originated from a fat computer that, subsequently, received its guidance from a melange of powerful chemicals necessary for survival amongst mammoths and short-faced bears. He is pretty sure he is real; his preferred piece of playground equipment is the swing; he graduated from UAA with an MFA in 2015; he would like to smash his heart together with yours so that, for a brief instant, maybe you both will feel less alone in this terribly beautiful existence.

Susan H. Greenberg is a journalist and essayist who teaches writing at Middlebury College. She spent 22 years at Newsweek magazine, and has also written for The New York Times, The Washington Post, and the Atlantic, among others. She is currently working on a book about cannabis and mental health. She lives in Vermont with her husband, three children, two dogs, a rabbit, and a corn snake that terrifies her.
Stephen D. Gutierrez is the author of Live from Fresno y Los, which won an American Book Award, and The Mexican Man in His Backyard. His nonfiction has previously appeared in River Teeth, as well as in Fourth Genre, Alaska Quarterly Review, Waccamaw: A Journal of Contemporary Literature, Catamaran Literary Reader, Under the Gum Tree, New South, The Nasiona Magazine, and ZYZZYVA. He teaches at California State University East Bay in the San Francisco Bay Area.

He earned his MFA at the University of Central Florida, and he is currently a PhD candidate in creative nonfiction at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Lawrence Lenhart studied writing at the University of Pittsburgh and holds an MFA from the University of Arizona. He is the author of The Well-Stocked and Gilded Cage (Outpost19), Of No Ground: Small Island/Big Ocean Contingencies (West Virginia University Press), and a book-length essay about the reintroduction of the black-footed ferret to the Colorado Plateau. He is the Associate Chair of the English Department at Northern Arizona University where he also teaches fiction, nonfiction, and climate science narratives. Beth Ann Miller is an Assistant Professor in Humanities at New England College and Guest Fiction Editor at the Saranac Review. Her fiction and creative nonfiction have appeared in journals such as The Normal School, PANK, and The Northern New England Review. You can find Leonard Winograd’s work nowhere. He’s the author of no books and while he’s written plays, none has ever been professionally performed. This is his first published work! He taught English and Lit at the Community College of Denver for over 30 years and retired with no one noticing he was gone! (That may be a bit untrue.)
